The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an External Relationship Manager to join their Stocking team. This role focuses on business development as well as maintaining existing stocking facilities with dealer/manufacturer relationships on a national scale. The successful candidate will be driven to generate, develop, and drive new business opportunities while managing existing relationships and upholding their reputation for exceptional service levels.
Primary responsibilities:
– Achieve targeted stocking business objectives, including volume, margin, fees, and portfolio quality.
– Promote utilisation and achieve key business stocking strategies within selected manufacturers and dealers, either directly or through brokers.
– Assist in converting wholesale stocking to retail finance.
– Develop and implement innovative sales strategies for the channel with dealers, manufacturers, and vendors.
– Collaborate with Stocking Operations to provide training to dealers and manufacturers.
– Represent the company at trade shows and national events.
– Continuously develop systems and processes to maintain the company as a leader in customer service.
– Ensure compliance with FCA, money laundering, and data protection regulations.
– Collaborate with the wider Stocking sales team, offering guidance and support.
– Empathise with customers and influence their decisions.
– Maintain excellent telephone and written service to key business influencers and customers.
Requirements:
– Knowledge of the Asset Finance industry, particularly “hard assets”.
– Familiarity with stocking products and systems is highly desirable.
– Significant experience in sales and marketing management.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations.
– Commitment to integrity and the philosophy of treating customers fairly.
– Willingness to work from both office and home base, with significant travel within the UK mainland.
