Adam Sommerville

Adam Sommerville

I have 15 years’ recruitment experience gained within Banking/Financial Services with my main specialism being the Leasing/Asset Finance industry. In 2018, I joined an award-winning Recruitment Consultancy where I successfully built and developed this niche vertical for them.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I learnt a lot but I always had ambitions of setting up my own recruitment business and I am incredibly excited to be doing this now. 

I achieved a 2.1 degree in Business Management, which included modules in Accounting, Economics, Marketing and Business Law. This gave me a great foundation of knowledge for the Financial Services world. After graduation (and then intense working/saving), I went backpacking with friends around the world for 6 months. This was a once in a lifetime experience that gave me a real insight into diverse cultures – something that has resonated with me as we help to build an Inclusive workplace for our clients and ourselves. 

I have always worked with honesty and integrity with a transparent approach to recruitment, which I believe is a key reason why I have built such an established network of Clients and Candidates. This philosophy is also shared by the Consultants at James George Recruitment as we look to work in partnership with you for a number of years.  

The name James George Recruitment has a special meaning for me as it’s named after my two young sons. They will always be the key motivation for me to work as hard as I do and to ensure that the business is a real success!

I decided to enter the world of recruitment in 2019 and haven’t looked back! Having begun my Recruitment career as a Junior Consultant at an agency and then progressing to a Managerial “in-house” position afterwards, I have had the opportunity to learn about recruitment from both sides of the fence.

I possess recruitment experience gained within the Asset Finance industry but I am also a CIMA qualified Accountant, so I am very well placed to work on vacancies within our Finance & Accounting division too. I am originally from Switzerland but spent several years living in Portugal before permanently relocating to the UK 7 years ago.

I am therefore fluent in 3 languages (English, French and Portuguese), which will prove very useful as we grow and enter International markets!

I currently work as a Talent Acquisition Partner at James George Recruitment, focusing on vacancies across Europe. What I appreciate most about James George Recruitment is that it gives me the opportunity to be part of a multicultural environment, with outstanding colleagues.

While I am certainly the newest to recruiting amongst the team, I bring some strong experiences and recruiting education to the table for both clients and candidates.

I previously started my own writing business, creating content for recruiting firms across the UK, Europe, and the United States. I spent years providing the advice and knowledge for various audiences – from those actively seeking new opportunities or career changes, to employers responding to increasing skills shortages for their workforce.

Meticulous industry research allowed me to provide the resources, statistics, and crucial advice needed for various sectors, including finance, construction, property, education, healthcare, hospitality, and many more – from entry-level, to senior executive search.

Despite my small business’s self-starting success, I longed to be on the other side of the keyboard, amongst the action, meeting new people, and becoming a go-to individual that joins skills to opportunities. I took the career change I needed to pursue my ambitions and, as they say, the rest is history.

As an Recruitment Consultant for James George Recruitment, I feel highly supported and valued – and this is mirrored in the care and attention given to all the relationships built with clients and candidates. With the core strength of industry knowledge within the team laced with the personal attention James George Recruitment gives to every client, candidate, and recruiter, I couldn’t be more excited for the future.

Bradley Hannah

I originally started my career as an amateur golfer, travelling to Europe & the Middle East to compete professionally.

I then spent 5 years in the UAE working within Real Estate progressing through the ranks, learning my trade in sales.  After returning to the UK, I instilled the work ethic I had developed in Dubai into the UK recruitment industry and quickly came to grips with the market. I focused on Construction and Engineering and really immersed myself in those sectors, gaining a wealth of knowledge which I now gladly bring to JGT Limited.

As a Recruitment Consultant, specialising in Construction and Engineering, My role is to really get to know my clients & their teams then match the best candidates to their business, ensuring not only a skills fit but a cultural fit as well. This approach really helps with our client’s retention rates and means their new recruits stay with them for a long time!

The absolute best part of my job though, is making the phone call to the successful candidate and telling them they have secured a new position. It gives me job satisfaction to know I’m helping someone with their career goals!  My hope is to be making those calls more than ever this year and at JGT I have no doubt this will happen.

I believe in honesty when it comes to my clients. A lot of recruiters tell clients what they want to hear which in turn leads to failure in the partnership. Transparency is key and it’s important to provide accurate information on the current market.

I also help clients by securing the perfect candidates for their business. This, in turn, means I build long term partnerships and take on the role as trusted recruitment advisor for my clients. It’s important to me that I build long term relationships

Nicola Rouse

Nicola is a recruitment professional with over 20 years’ experience providing a range of services and working with clients across a number of industries including professional and financial services.

She possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop good working relationships with clients, candidates and colleagues and prides herself as an experienced recruiter who excels in creating a motivational working environment ensuring the highest standards are always achieved.

Nicola’s experience includes over 4 years working “in house” for Barnes Roffe, successfully leading numerous recruitment campaigns and placing high calibre candidates into positions they really enjoy.

Outside of work, Nicola is a keen runner and has taken part in the London Marathon.

After many years in a career working as a sales advisor for a training provider that helped people gain the knowledge and qualifications required for careers in areas such as Cyber Security, Project Management and Accountancy, I decided that I wanted a new challenge and one that would make a difference for individuals that are seeking new careers.

Joining James George Recruitment, I am excited about what lies ahead and look forward to using my experience to help candidates find the right roles for them.

 

Outside of work I am enjoy playing football, going to the Gym ‘Occasionally’ playing computer games, and love walks with my dog and wife.

New to the Recruitment world, but with a desire to hit the ground running…

I previously worked as a PA for a group of Directors at a large Insurance/Pensions company, maintaining the organisation and daily running of the Operations Department before taking a career break to become “Mum!”

 I enjoy lists, spreadsheets and administration and co-ordinating everything so that it all comes together. I envisage the end goal and do what is required to get there,

Despite never working in Recruitment before now, I’m eager and willing to learn and enjoying the journey so far. It’s incredible being able to engage with so many talented and interesting clients.

  I hope to progress and evolve here at James George and I look forward to helping others like me, do the same, in finding careers and opportunities they have only ever thought about.
