Job Overview:


As a Pricing Analyst, you’ll play a key role in developing and adjusting pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and drive growth. You’ll work closely with teams across the company, such as sales and marketing, using data to optimise pricing structures and boost revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy: Work with the team to create pricing strategies that reflect market trends, customer needs, and business goals. Stay on top of competitor pricing and industry insights to spot opportunities and risks.

Optimising Prices: Use data and forecasting to fine-tune pricing models, adjusting them as needed to meet goals. Regularly review how our pricing is performing and suggest changes to stay competitive.

Product Pricing: Collaborate with product development to set appropriate prices for new products and services. Monitor current pricing and offers from funders and dealers ensuring accuracy.  Perform pricing analysis for different vehicle models and customer types to ensure profitability.

Managing Margins: Work to balance pricing between being competitive in the market and maintaining profitability. Help maintain pricing consistency and ensure pricing policies are followed.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing and operations to ensure pricing strategies align with broader business goals. Provide pricing support to the sales team to help close deals efficiently.

Staying Compliant: Keep up with industry regulations to ensure pricing practices follow legal guidelines. Ensure that all pricing decisions and policies are compliant with relevant standards.

Team Support: Work alongside and support the team by offering guidance and feedback. Help foster a team environment that’s focused on collaboration and continual improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong arithmetic and mathematical reasoning skills – knowledge and experience of statistical modelling, data analysis and pricing tools would be beneficial.
  • Intermediate level competence with Excel – familiarity, knowledge and understanding of various formulas used to manipulate, validate and tabulate data beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail – you will be entering pricing data into a variety of systems, often manually, and small errors may have a significant effect on business and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to work well with different departments and communicate effectively across the company.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical approach to turning data into useful pricing insights.
  • An interest in cars, vans and/or the automotive industry in general will be highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and pricing best practices preferred.
